General Information

What sizes of storage units do you offer?

modSTORAGE offers 5'x5' units (equivalent to a regular closet), 5'x10' units (equivalent to a walk-in closet), 5'x15' units (equivalent to a large closet), 10'x10' units (equivalent to half a one car garage), 10'x15' units (equivalent to 2/3rds of a one car garage), 10'x20' units (equivalent to a standard one car garage), 10'x25' units (equivalent to an one car garage), 10'x30' units(equivalent to a standard two car garage).
 

Small Units (5' x5', 5' x10' feet) are suitable for boxes, small furniture, documents or seasonal items. Medium Units (10' x10' , 10' x15' feet) can accommodate the contents of a one-bedroom apartment, including furniture and appliances. Large Units (10'x20', 10'x25', 10'x30' feet) is ideal for storing the contents of a multi-bedroom house, vehicles, or large equipment.

What are your hours of operation?

Customers have access to their items from 6am to 10pm every day.

The office is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Saturday and 8am to 2pm on Sunday. Please contact us to learn about holiday hours.

How secure is your facility?

modSTORAGE has multileveled security systems to protect you and your items. The storage has electronic gated access, 24/7 security camera monitoring and on-site management. Your storage unit is protected with a Bluetooth lock. The facility is well lit, and well protected. 

Do you offer climate-controlled units?

Yes, modSTORAGE has climate-controlled units in a variety of different sizes. Climate-controlled units are designed to prevent mildew, mold, and warping. These storage units are best for documents, wooden or leather furniture, photographs, clothing, collectables, art pieces, and wine.

What is the minimum rental period?

We understand that customers may only want a unit for a minimum amount of time, this is common especially if a customer just needs a place to store their items in between moves. modSTORAGE is happy to accommodate the customers needs as well as offering discounts for long-term rentals too.

Are there specialty storage options for items like wine or art?

 Yes, we offer climate controlled storage units tailored for wine, and art storage.

What pest control does modSTORAGE perform?

modSTORAGE has routinely licensed scheduled extermination for vermin and bugs.

Does modSTORAGE offer discounts?

Yes, modSTORAGE offers discounts, please contact our sales team to find out any promotions.

Can businesses use modSTORAGE?

Pricing & Payment

What are your rates?

Customers can see the prices of available units here. Please contact our store manager to see if we are offering any discounts.

Are there any additional fees or deposits required?

modSTORAGE doesn't have any hidden fees. Your store manager will break down all the pricing with you.

What payment methods do you accept?

modSTORAGE accepts all major credit cards, and payment is done through our payment portal.

How is billing handled?

Billing can be handled online. A customer can pay, go over their bill online and set up recurrent payments.

Storage Policies

Can I change my storage unit size after signing the contract?

Yes, modSTORAGE staff will help you determine the perfect size for your unit and provide tips on how to get the most amount of space for your unit. If you decide to upgrade or downgrade the size of your unit, we can assist you.

What items are prohibited from storage?

Perishable goods: including food, and medicine, flammable or volatile materials: gasoline, paint, and illegal items.

Do you provide locks, packing materials, and moving supplies?

Locks used are Bluetooth and are unlocked through an app on your phone. The office has packing supplies including boxes, bubble wrap and tape. We also have dollies, and hand trucks.

Is insurance required for stored items?

Insurance isn't needed to store your items in our units, however if you are interested in purchasing insurance the staff will help you choose the right plan for you.

What should I do in case of an emergency at the facility?

Contact staff immediately for any emergencies.

What are your policies on late payments?

If you cannot make your payments on time, please contact us.

What is the process for handling disputes or complaints?

If a customer has any compliments, please contact staff immediately so we can rectify the situation.

Security & Access

Can I access my storage unit outside of regular business hours?

Customers can access their unit from 6am to 10pm every day. If they have an emergency and need to access their items outside of business hours, please contact us.

Is there a way to manage my storage unit remotely?

Customers can pay their balance online, as well as provide unit access to someone else through sharing their app.

What amenities are available at the facility?

modSTORAGE offers Wi-Fi, on-site management, restrooms, parking, and supplies (that are available to purchase).

How do I reset my access code if I forget it?

Please contact your store manager if you get locked out for any reason.

Is there technical support available for online account management issues?

Yes, troubleshoot through your account or please contact us.

Moving & Transportation

Do you offer truck rental or moving assistance?

modSTORAGE is partnering with Penske for truck rentals. You can rent a truck at our facility. If you need further moving assistance, modSTORAGE also is affiliated with Mod Movers. Mod Movers can provide any type of move you need, or if you need help moving your items to and from our storage. Along with Penske and Mod Movers, we have dollies and carts available to assist your loading and unloading.

Can you store vehicles in storage?

Yes, modSTORAGE offers vehicle storage in some of its locations. We can also store RVS, Motorcycles, and Boats.

Closing & Changes

How do I close my account?

Please contact the store manager to terminate your account. They will go over any notice periods and cleaning policies as well as how to close your account.

What happens if I leave belongings in the unit after my lease ends?

After a grace period if items are abandoned in an unit, the customer may be charged with a cleaning fee, and items may be disposed, or the contents of the unit may auctioned.
